Welcome to Memorial Baptist Church (MBC) in Beckley, WV. We are delighted that you are here and would love to have you join our body of believers and serve the Lord with us.
MBC 101 is an in-person class given over three Sunday sessions in the church. MBC 101 serves two groups of people:
- Those who are interested in learning about MBC but are not quite ready to join.
- Those who desire membership in MBC. MBC 101 completion is a requirement for membership in Memorial Baptist Church.
MBC 101 consists of three sections.
Lesson 1 – Mission of MBC and characteristics of good pastors. Financial stewardship. Taught by Dr. James Boyd.
Lesson 2 – The Southern Baptist Convention, the Cooperative Program, our identity in Christ, and spiritual gifts and serving. Taught by Dr. Mark Agnor.
Lesson 3 – Why church membership matters? What is discipleship and why is it important? What is church discipline? Taught by Josh Kerbawy.
MBC 101 Review is the fourth part of MBC. It includes the following:
- Review material for all topics covered in MBC 101.
- Quiz 1 – Key Points of MBC 101
- Survey 1 – Service interest inventory
- Survey 2 – Giving commitment
MBC 101 Review can be done at any time during MBC 101, but is best completed after the three in-person sessions. It must be done within six weeks after beginning it.
